Mr. Joel Chan, Hon. Treasurer was being invited to attend the Career workshop for Master of Urban Design, University of Hong Kong on 11 May 2018.

The Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design (HKIUD),Professional Green Building Council (PGBC), Hong Kong Architecture Centre (HKAC) and The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) jointly organized the Discussion Forum on Energizing Harbourfront on 9 May 2018, with over 100 professional from various disciplines attended.

The Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design(HKIUD), P&T and Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council (SKHWC) jointly organised "Ageing in the Hong Kong Urban Environment - An Experiential Workshop" on 17 March 2018(Saturday).

Participants put on a specially designed suit and "explored" the streets, markets and parks cautiously, with the aid of many volunteer helpers. The suit gave them a feel for various hardship faced by the elderly in real life. Participants had also visited Western District Elderly Community Centre to better understand elderly friendly facilities. The Workshop culminated in group discussions and sharing of ideas on how urban design could be more inclusive to enable the elderly to stay active, remain healthy.
