This Competition is a single-stage design competition, aimed at creating a distinctive graphic or pattern for the new pedestrian-cyclist footbridge at Lung Yeuk Tau. The design should embody values, innovation and cultural significance of the footbridge, employing light-interactive visual techniques to create a meaningful public artwork. The Competition aims to achieve the following objectives:

* to celebrate the commissioning of the Fanling Bypass Eastern Section and the world's first S960 footbridge under the Fanling North New Development Area, Northern Metropolis.

* to raise awareness of the CEDD's initiative on Urban - Rural Integration.

* to submit graphic design proposals that will attract appreciation of the aesthetic harmony where the slim footbridge structure and elegant lighting intertwine in order to celebrate the footbridge's role in connecting communities.
