HKIUD were officially pledged as one of the new PGBC Affiliate Institutes, at the 20th Anniversary Celebration dinner and Pledging Ceremony of the Professional Green Building Council (PGBC) on 24 November 2022 attended by Guest of Honour Ms Bernadette LINN Hon-ho, JP, Secretary for Development. President - Mr. Barry Wilson, Vice President - Prof. Alain Chiaradia, and Past President Dr. Peter Cookson Smith represented HKIUD.


Also joining HKIUD as Affiliates were The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK), The Hong Kong Institute of Architectural Conservationists (HKICON), and The Hong Kong Institute of Facility Management (HKIFM). We join in supporting the existing member Institutes - The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA), The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), The Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects (HKILA), The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) and The Hong Kong Institute of Planners (HKIP) in furthering the mission of promoting green building development in the Territory.
