Background
With the mission of elevating urban design standards and enhancing the livability of cities within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Greater Bay Area Urban Designer Alliance was established in June 2020 by the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design, CURB Center for Architecture and Urbanism – Macau, Guangzhou Urban Planning Association, Urban Planning Society of Shenzhen, and Zhuhai Planning Exploration and Design Industry Association. The Alliance serves as a professional platform that promotes collaboration among urban design professionals, including urban designers, architects, landscape architects, town planners, and engineers. Additionally, the Alliance aims to establish professional recognition for urban design practitioners in the Greater Bay Area.

Terms of Reference

  1. To organise Biennial conference hosted on a revolving basis and organised by Alliance members from Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Macau, and Zhuhai
  2. To meet with the alliance members to exchange views on the current Urban Design Issues in GBA.
  3. To establish professional recognition for urban design practitioners in the Greater Bay Area.
  4. To promote the event organized by Alliance Members.
