Background
The Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design (HKIUD) Urban Design Awards and the Greater Bay Area Urban Design Awards are prestigious events held every two years. By highlighting exemplary work, the awards promote excellence in urban design and encourage innovation and best practices among professionals in the industry.
Terms of Reference
- To organize events and programs related to the awards, including launch ceremonies, workshops, and networking events to engage the urban design community.
- To suggest jurors for the awards, identifying and recommending qualified individuals with extensive experience in urban design to ensure a fair evaluation process.
- To provide comments and suggestions on awards materials, reviewing nomination forms, guidelines, and promotional content to enhance clarity and effectiveness.
- To advise on queries related to the awards, answering questions and addressing concerns about eligibility, submission processes, and evaluation criteria.
- To review awards publications, overseeing the assessment of brochures, reports, and promotional materials to ensure accurate representation of achievements in urban design within the GBA.
- By fulfilling these responsibilities, the Awards Sub-Committee plays a vital role in enhancing the profile and impact of the HKIUD and Greater Bay Area Urban Design Awards, contributing to a culture of excellence in urban design throughout the region.
