The Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design (HKIUD) Urban Design Awards 2014 aims at recognising urban design related projects with outstanding performance and contributions in promoting excellence in Urban Design. The awards has divided into Built Project and Plan / Concept categories.
Total of 34 submissions were received. The adjudication was held on 19 August 2014 and Jury Panel included: Mr. Nicholas Brooke, Prof. Leslie Chen, Prof. Puay-Peng Ho, Hon. Wai Kwok Lo and Prof. Chris Webster. The Annual General Meeting and Award Presentation was held on 16 September 2014. Dr. Peter Cookson Smith was elected as new President. Prizes were presented by Mrs. Carrie Lam, Chief Secretary for Administration of Hong Kong Government and Prof. Chris Webster, Dean of Faculty of Architecture, HKU. Guests, Awardees and HKIUD Members shared their views in Urban Design in the event.
