HKIUD Urban Design Awards 2014 Adjudication on 19 August 2014

The HKIUD inaugurated its Urban Design Awards this year and 17 entries were received for each of the two categories ‘built project’ and ‘plan concept’. The adjudication of the awards was held on 19 August 2014. The award winners will be announced on 16 September 2014.

Hong Kong–Barcelona Urban Exchange Sharing Session on 8 March 2014

Together with Hong Kong Institute of Planners, the Hong Kong Green Building Council and Guidance the Hong Kong-Barcelona Urban Exchange Sharing Session was held on 8 March 2014.

Steven Lee (HKIUD), Sharon Liu (HKIP) and Tony Ip (HKGBC) shared their experience on designing public space and their recent research from the Barcelona visit. The event also featured a music performance and experience sharing by Guidance (Public Space Adventure Project).

On 5 December 2013, Membership and Education Committee members together with Ms. Eva Huang, Full Member and Ms. Fatima Lee, Graduate Member met with Master of Science in Urban Design Students from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and briefed them on the establishment and work of the Institute and the career path of Urban Designers in Hong Kong.
